"In the language of Images" competition

The Rákosmente Fotóklub will celebrate its 10th anniversary in October 2026. On this occasion, it is announcing a photo competition – for the first time this year, but planned to be held annually.

The competition is supported by MAFOSZ (National Association of Hungarian Photographic Creative Groups).

The competition will be announced in 4 categories. We would like to inform you in advance that nude photos can be entered into the competition, win awards, or be accepted, but we cannot display nude photos in the exhibition planned from the awarded photos, as the exhibition venue is a public institution.

Categories

    • Open Color (any, non-AI, artistic photographs)

      Open Monochrome (any, non-AI, artistic photographs)

      The Woman (any, color or monochrome, non-AI, artistic photographs)

      Minimal (any, color or monochrome, non-AI, artistic photographs)

The application registration fee is 5000 HUF / author, regardless of how many categories the images are entered in. A maximum of 4 images can be entered per category.

The jury members are:

Dóra Csörögi

EFIAP-graduated Hungarian photographer and nature photographer, who with his sensitive visual vision presents the world of nature, landscape and human movements at an outstanding artistic level. Her photographs are characterized by a lyrical mood, delicate light treatment and the emphasis on emotional content, while the documentary and creative approach are harmoniously connected in his works. She is a regularly awarded artist in domestic and international competitions, an active participant in the Hungarian photographic art scene, and also participates as a jury member in significant professional competitions, including the Hungary 365 photography competition.

János Eifert

He is a Balogh Rudolf – Award winning photographer and one of the defining figures of Hungarian photography. He began his career as a professional folk dancer, then developed his unique, movement-focused vision of photography from the world of dance. Dance, the human body and visual rhythm played a prominent role in his work, while he also had a significant impact on Hungarian photography as a photojournalist, image editor, lecturer and teacher. He became known worldwide for his international slide show and digiRáma shows, won numerous prestigious awards, and his works were included in the FIAP historical collection.

Ovi D. Pop

is one of the most internationally renowned figures in contemporary Romanian photography, primarily known for his fine art, nude, portrait, street and aerial photography. The Oradea-based artist has been working as a photographer for over three decades and has achieved extraordinary international success: during his career, he has won more than 2,400 awards, including hundreds of gold medals in nearly a hundred countries around the world. He has also played a significant role in the visual documentation of his native country. His international recognition is also indicated by the awarding of the MPSA (Master of the Photographic Society of America) and EFIAP/g titles, as well as the fact that he has been invited as a jury member and speaker in numerous countries.

The competition jury will decide on the following awards:

1st, 2nd, 3rd by category winners medal and certificate,

the 4-9 place placed receive an Honorable Mention certificate.

In addition, each member of the 3-member jury can select a picture from the non-awarded but accepted pictures, for which we will hand over a certificate of recognition.

The award for the most successful author is given to the author with the most acceptances.

The photo club with the most acceptances in the competition will also receive a special prize.

15-20% of all submitted images will receive an acknowledgment of acceptance what can be downloaded online.

And finally, the Rákosmente Photo Club selects the accepted or award-winning image they consider to be the best through an internal vote, and its author receives the 10-year anniversary recognition of the Rákosmente Photo Club.

We are planning an exhibition of the award-winning images at the opening of which the awards will be presented.
